Welcome to the home of the Baltimore Vim user group!
We're a group of people enthusiastic about the Vim text editor, and who want to know more about how to get the most from it. We have (mostly) monthly Meetups with technical presentations and general chat about Vim.
- February 12th 6:30pm is our next Meetup! RSVP
Jamal Bourne - GUI Vim versus Terminal Vim (Beginner)
Although Vim is a terminal-based editor, some people are just more comfortable with a graphical interface. But, it turns out you can have your cake and eat it too, as Vim has a graphical user interface as well. In this talk you'll learn the critical differences that you can expect when you switch between the GUI and terminal versions of Vim.
Meetings take place in the classroom area of the Village Learning Place (in the office building across the street at 2510 St. Paul) in Charles Village, Baltimore:

We will generally meet on the third our fourth Monday of the month, from 6:30-7:30 PM. There will occasionally be a small amount of local beer, and/or pizza from the nearby Charles Restaurant.
Depending on how social everyone feels, some or all of the group can head to the nearby Yum's Asian Bistro after the meetup to continue talking Vim, or just partake of some delicious food and/or drinks. Yum's Asian Bistro is around the corner from the VLP, within easy walking distance.
Due to venue and organizer availability, this schedule may need to be periodically tweaked, so make sure you're signed up with our Meetup page, so you can receive notifications (if you want) about individual meetups, or simply check back on this page periodically.
