Carroll County Commissioner, Ed Rothstein, District 5, makes his remarks about honoring those who serve. Sykesville unveiled Hometown Hero Banners, honoring the service of those native to Sykesville. The banners are installed in the downtown Sykesville area and made possible in part by funding from the Carroll Arts Council. 
Gov. Wes Moore tapped Ed Rothstein, a Carroll County commissioner and retired Army colonel, to lead the Maryland Department of Veterans and Military Families.
