In a recent letter to the editor, “Concert cheating scandal was an invasion of privacy” (July 21), the writer claims, “These two lives, as well as the lives of their families, have been forever damaged by social media users irresponsibly sharing images and content.”

I would suggest that the two people involved did that to themselves. They were at a public event and a video of them accidentally appeared on a large video screen totally randomly. Those who posted the account and pictures didn’t do anything different than social media users, for better or worse, do these days.
