Did Armstrong Williams actually read the report released by special counsel Robert S. Mueller III in 2019 or is he just cherry picking the parts he likes (“Armstrong Williams: The rotten core of a manufactured scandal,” July 22)? Or better still, is he buying into President Donald Trump’s treason pitch even though the main purpose is to deflect from the Jeffrey Epstein file?

True, Mueller found no outward collusion, but he did find enough to raise concerns about President Trump. If you recall, Mueller did not exonerate Trump but pointed out many episodes of obstruction. There were many links between Russia and Trump including the famous WikiLeaks document release meant to hurt Hillary Clinton, the Democratic nominee. And finally, the special counsel found criminal activity resulting in 37 indictments which included Trump campaign staff.
