A man and child were rescued from icy waters at Druid Ridge Cemetery, the Baltimore County Fire Department said Monday afternoon.

Fire crews responding to the 7900 block of Park Heights Avenue discovered two people in a pond, who were quickly removed, a fire department spokesperson said.

Fire officials said the man and child were both taken to Sinai Hospital, where they were in stable condition Monday.

Druid Ridge Cemetery is known for its parklike setting that includes a duck pond, woods and gentle hills.
