FBI director praises agents and NYPD for thwarting IED plot in Manhattan

Michael Gann, 55, of Inwood, New York, was charged with manufacturing at least seven of the explosive devices found hidden on the subway and rooftops. Jay Clayton, U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, said Gann allegedly used chemicals he ordered online to make the explosive devices.
