Jeffrey F. Bill

Jeff Bill is a senior content editor for Baltimore Sun Media and director of photography for The Capital, Maryland Gazette, Carroll County Times, The Aegis and the Towson, Catonsville and Arbutus Times. He came to The Baltimore Sun as assistant director of news photography in 1989 with a photography degree from Rochester Institute of Technology.

Westminster held a contested mayoral election and uncontested election for Common Council seats. Mayor Mona Becker, who has served since 2021, is seeking another term. Becker will face Nicholas Thomas, a deputy for the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office. Westminster Common Council members Tony Chiavacci and Dan Hoff are each running for re-election, unopposed. May 13, 2025: James Schneider signs in to vote Tuesday as election judges Chris Konior, Layree Kunz, and Marlene Duff  look on in Town Hall. Hampstead held an uncontested election Tuesday for three Town Council seats. Incumbent Council Members Wayne H. May 13, 2025: Brooks Jackson, 2, helps his mother Farrah, cast her ballot on election day. The Town of New Windsor held its election Tuesday. Voters will select a new mayor, Neal Roop is not seeking reelection, while two council seats now held by Kevin R. Cornick and William R. Holl will be filled. Cornick is running for mayor, and faced Ashley Collier, Director of Community Development for the Town of Mount Airy. Only one resident, Dante Howard, is running for a seat on the council. Sykesville Mayor Stacy Link is running for reelection in May against Robert Whittaker. Current Sykesville Town Council members Elizabeth Guroff and Leo Keenan are running for reelection to their seats. Apr. 23, 2025: Eli Ciabatoni, a student at McDaniel College, recited a monolog from William Shakespeare's play As You Like It during Shakespeare in the Square Wednesday. The event hosted by McDaniel College’s English department and Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society, is an annual celebration of the life and works of William Shakespeare on his birthday and included readings and performances by McDaniel students and faculty.
