She starred in both lacrosse and field hockey for the Bobcats and has now capped her senior year by being named The Aegis player of the year in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baltimoresun.com\/2024\/12\/24\/aegis-field-hockey-bel-air-paige-feick\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">both sports<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>She did so essentially playing out of position on the lacrosse field. She&#8217;s more comfortable on defense, where she plays on the club circuit and will play in college at Temple. But for Bel Air the last four seasons, she was asked to take on more of an offensive role in the midfield.<\/p>\n<p>She can break down in immense detail the intricacies of each position and their differing responsibilities. By playing \u2014 and excelling \u2014 at both, she&#8217;s found a fresh outlook on the sport that she hopes bodes well at the next level and propelled her to an impressive finish at the high school level.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I really wanted to attack the goal more. Going through the season, I really improved in my confidence,&#8221; Feick said. &#8220;It really opened my mind to other possibilities.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Feick totaled 65 goals, 23 assists, 87 draw controls and 51 caused turnovers for the Bobcats this spring, doing it all for a team that reached the Class 3A state quarterfinals.<\/p>\n<p>Playing in a variety of roles opened the senior&#8217;s eyes to how lacrosse is played at different positions. Now, when she&#8217;s on defense looking to keep the ball out of the net, she can go inside the mind of the opponent running toward her with the ball in her stick and the goal on her mind.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s one thing to play defense and watch the offense do it,&#8221; Feick said. &#8220;But when you&#8217;re actually on offense, you can get into their mindset a little bit and understand what they&#8217;re trying to do when approaching you.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Now, Feick turns her attention to Temple, where she&#8217;s already begun getting to know her future coaches and teammates. She&#8217;s confident what she learned at Bel Air, on the lacrosse field and in the classroom, fuels similar success at the next level.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m really proud of myself for accomplishing high academic achievements in addition to sports. It&#8217;s hard to balance,&#8221; said Feick, who took 11 AP classes and participated in the biomedical program this school year. &#8220;It&#8217;s really impressive to me.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h4>Coach of the year<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Maddie Ricucci, Fallston<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ricucci\u2019s team parlayed an up-and-down regular season into another deep postseason run, reaching the 1A state semifinals and finishing the campaign with an 11-6 record. (Courtesy photos)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h4>All-County first team<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Camryn Dauphinais, Fallston, sophomore, attack<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>One of the only sophomores on the All-Aegis team, Dauphinais scored 25 goals with six assists.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pieper McCue, John Carroll, junior, attack\/draw specialist<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In addition to 106 draw controls, McCue added 22 goals and was also named to the All-IAAM team.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Emma Jankowiak, C. Milton Wright, senior, attack<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Jankowiak tallied 84 goals with 41 draw controls and 10 assists this season.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Madeline Tunney, Patterson Mill, senior, attack<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tunney\u2019s 36 goals and 15 assists anchored the Huskies&#8217; attack unit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sam Wolfkill, C. The Cougars also claimed an Upper Chesapeake Bay Athletic Conference title in this spring\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baltimoresun.com\/2025\/05\/05\/ucbac-lacrosse-championship-fallston-bel-air-cmw\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">renewed conference championship game format<\/a>.<\/p><h4>All-County first team<\/h4><p><strong>Camryn Dauphinais, Fallston, sophomore, attack<\/strong><\/p><p>One of the only sophomores on the All-Aegis team, Dauphinais scored 25 goals with six assists.<\/p><p><strong>Pieper McCue, John Carroll, junior, attack\/draw specialist<\/strong><\/p><p>In addition to 106 draw controls, McCue added 22 goals and was also named to the All-IAAM team.<\/p><p><strong>Emma Jankowiak, C. Milton Wright, senior, attack<\/strong><\/p><p>Jankowiak tallied 84 goals with 41 draw controls and 10 assists this season.<\/p><p><strong>Madeline Tunney, Patterson Mill, senior, attack<\/strong><\/p><p>Tunney\u2019s 36 goals and 15 assists anchored the Huskies' attack unit.<\/p><p><strong>Sam Wolfkill, C.
