Here are the 2025 Carroll County All-County softball honorees:<\/p>\n

Editors Note: All-County selections are determined by the sports staff in consultation with area coaches, following extensive discussion and evaluation.<\/em><\/p>\n

Coaches of the Year: Lyndzie Hoff and Brenda Strohmer<\/h4>\n

According to ancient Chinese philosophy, yin and yang are opposite but complementary forces, interconnected and unable to exist without the other.<\/p>\n

Carroll County softball has its own version of that balance: South Carroll coaches Lyndzie Hoff and Brenda Strohmer.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m the yeller \u2014 I get the team fired up or get after them when they need to be corrected,\u201d Strohmer said after a win over Winters Mill. \u201cLyndzie is the calm presence, the one who helps us breathe and laugh when we need it.\u201d<\/p>\n

That contrast worked in perfect harmony for the Cavaliers, who finished 13-4, won the county title and reached the Class 1A North Region II final. They also secured a top-10 ranking in The Baltimore Sun’s final 2025 softball poll.<\/p>\n

For their efforts, Hoff and Strohmer have been named the 2025 Carroll County Times softball Coaches of the Year.<\/p>\n

Despite having only five upperclassmen and a new assistant coach in Dalin Rodrigues \u2014 herself a strong fit for the staff \u2014 Hoff and Strohmer had South Carroll in midseason form early. The Cavaliers outscored their first two opponents 27\u20135, setting the tone for a 12-win regular season.<\/p>\n

Each win sent the message that the Cavaliers were the team to beat. South Carroll went unbeaten in county play and defeated defending champion Francis Scott Key three times, snapping the Eagles’ 28-game county winning streak with a 12-4 win on April 4.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey know they\u2019re talented and they\u2019re playing with confidence,\u201d Hoff said. \u201cWe just want the girls to come out, do their best, and trust that good things will follow.\u201d<\/p>\n

All-County first team<\/h4>\n

Myla Bell, South Carroll, junior, infield<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bell earned first-team honors after batting .392 with three home runs and 11 RBIs.<\/p>\n

Erin Kleiner, Manchester Valley, freshman, infield<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kleiner hit .435 with 18 RBIs and eight extra-base hits.<\/p>\n

Erin Martin, Liberty, senior, infield<\/strong><\/p>\n

A Player of the Year finalist, the Lions’ shortstop batted .639 with 20 RBIs and 10 stolen bases.<\/p>\n

Lila Moxley, Westminster, junior, infield<\/strong><\/p>\n

Moxley batted .423 with three home runs and 23 RBIs.<\/p>\n

Lucy Connor, Liberty, senior, outfield<\/strong><\/p>\n

Connor batted .354 for the Lions.<\/p>\n

Kendall Jackman, Francis Scott Key, senior, outfield<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jackman hit .517 with an OPS of 1.30 and 11 extra-base hits. She is committed to Lancaster Bible College.<\/p>\n

Morgan Kenney, Francis Scott Key, senior, outfield<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kenney batted .492 with 18 RBIs in her final year with the Eagles.<\/p>\n
